Unique among cathedrals, Grace Cathedral serves not only as a notable tourist destination and prominent gathering place in times of civic celebration or distress but also as home to a vibrant, active, and diverse resident congregation. It is a community based in fellowship, witness, spiritual development, and service. Encompassing the full spectrum of human experience, membership in the congregation at Grace Cathedral offers the opportunity to explore virtually any interest or affinity within the context of a nurturing Christian community.
Alan Jones in The Translucent Revolution:
“I happen to like dogma a lot but dogma has had a bad rap, it should be the first word about something not the last word, it should be a platform upon which you leap into mystery, rather than closing conversation it should open it up. It should give you the grounds for discussion." Grace Cathedral Website
