Stanley Krippner in The Translucent Revolution:
“I'm constantly learning new things. Every time I write something I learn something new, because I have to do research to address the topic adequately. I certainly don't write for the money because my books don't sell that many copies. I don't have to write for the prestige or the “to publish or perish” as they do at some academic universities. But when there's a topic that I'm interested in where I think I have something to say, I just want the book to be as good as it can possibly be."
