TERRY-ANNE PAQUETTE was introduced to Waldorf education when her son, Joshua, enrolled as a third grader at Mariposa Waldorf School in Grass Valley, California. The soul- and spirit-filled community touched a place in her heart that she had longed for but had not previously experienced. While training at Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, California, she began a home Waldorf-inspired preschool called Heavenly Days. Subsequently she has taught at the Portland Waldorf School and the Mariposa Waldorf School and in 1994 helped found the Yuba River Charter, the first public Waldorf-methods charter school in the country. They presently serve approximately 250 children, preschool to eighth grade. The school is a community of families and teachers using teaching methods that nourish and educate the child.

Terry-Anne Paquette in The Translucent Revolution:

“The protection of childhood is so critical to the future of humanity and the world.  If we don't lay the foundation for these beings to unfold their gifts and be free human beings then our hope for the future is really jeopardized."
